Bringing a multifaceted approach to robotics to students in Windsor, Connecticut and surrounding communities since 2001.
FIRST®, or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is a global non-profit organization dedicated to preparing young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs. Team Paragon Robotics, Inc. participates in some of these programs to offer robotics opportunities to students in grades 4 to 12.
Team Paragon Robotics, Inc. began as a single robotics team from The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut in 2001: Team Paragon. Over the last 23 years, this has grown to an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with four robotics teams consisting of over 50 students and 20 adult volunteers from around Windsor and beyond.
The facilitation of our programs, from the spaces we meet in, to the materials we use, are due to the kind support we receive from the Town of Windsor, Connecticut, and many generous local businesses. We are incredibly thankful for the support they provide and are always looking for new partners.
Team Paragon has four robotics teams participating in three FIRST programs. We are proud to support students in grades 4-12 in learning about robotics and engineering in a safe environment.
FIRST Lego League (FLL) Challenge offers introductory robotics and engineering concepts to develop student interest in STEM that can translate to participation in higher level programs as they grow up.
First Tech Challenge (FTC) offers advanced engineering in a smaller environment to provide every student with an opportunity to grow and develop college and career skills in STEM.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) offers advanced engineering in a larger environment to produce a unique program that helps prepare students for careers and college programs in STEM.
